About me

I'll be honest, acting was not my passion at first. 
Music was, I spent years trying to learn how to sing. Then, I had to let it go because my circumstances shifted in a way that I had to take care of other issues. 
A little while later, I discovered Turkish drama. I totally fell in love with it. I love the way the Turkish tell stories, they do it in a way that they don't have to use sexual content, strong violence, nudity to entertain, the story stands on its own. Such as Americans, they are really good at it, but in a more conservative way. (2025 Update : I wrote these words during the 2020 pandemic and since then, I watched other series and films in which they were not as conservative. I guess it depends on the production team. To me, it does not change the quality of their work.)
For example, the series "Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne ?" tells the story of a young woman who got raped and, her struggle to get her life back on track and justice. Making those series is a huge act of feminism that could have touched many hearts. This, among other content, made me consider acting as something I could do artistically and professionally.
Indeed, I live to make a difference. Being a part of an inspiring, moving, profound, yet entertaining, project is what I long for, in that purpose. I dream to have a place where I could tackle some of our society issues to help improve mentalities and thus, contribute to make a better world for the generations to come.
